We come to your office in Liberty Village.

The constraint here is space, not light.

Liberty Village offices are mostly converted industrial buildings — exposed brick, timber posts, big windows and floor plans that were never drawn around meeting rooms. That's a nice place to work and an awkward place to photograph people, because the two things a headshot needs are a clean background and consistent light, and a brick wall by a west-facing window gives you neither. Window light changes between the first person and the twentieth, so the first ten look different from the last ten, which is exactly the problem a team page is supposed to avoid.

We solve it by not using the room. We bring the backdrop, the lights and a laptop, and we need about three by four metres of floor to put them on — a meeting room, a corner of the kitchen, a stretch of hallway with a free wall. The brick can stay in the background of your office tour; it doesn't need to be in your headshots. If you do want the room in the frame, say so when you book and we'll shoot a second look against it, which takes a couple of extra minutes per person rather than a different setup.

The other local thing worth mentioning is loading. Hanna Ave, Liberty St and Mowat have street parking that fills by nine and buildings with no loading bay, so we arrive about thirty minutes before your first slot, bring the kit up on a cart in one trip, and start on time. If your building has a service lift or a specific door, tell us when you confirm the date. It is the single most useful thing a client can put in that email.

Most of the work we do here is one of two shapes: a startup or agency photographing everyone at once before a website relaunch, or one person who needs a LinkedIn photo this week.
