LinkedIn crops you to a circle the size of a thumbnail.

So we frame you tighter than a normal headshot and put the light on your face, not the background. Before you leave we look at your pick at 48 pixels, about the size it shows up in search. If a recruiter can't see your eyes at that size, we keep shooting.

How it goes

01Book a slot online.

Pick a time and pay, and you're booked. No emailing back and forth.

02Bring two tops.

One you'd wear to a meeting, one you'd wear to dinner. We'll try both.

03Pick on screen.

The camera is connected to a laptop, so you see every shot as it's taken and choose before you go.

04Next day.

You get the retouched photo, plus a square crop for LinkedIn, on a Google Drive link.

Questions

Common questions.

Most people tell us that when they walk in. We tell you where to look, how to hold your shoulders and what to do with your hands, so you don't need to know anything about posing. Nils has been doing this for 20 years and is good at getting people to relax. There's usually a fair bit of laughing.
Within 24 hours of your session. If you pick your photo on the day, it's often ready the same afternoon. If you need it within 4 hours, ask when you book and we'll rush it.
It hasn't happened yet. You see the photos on a laptop as we take them, so you'll know before you leave whether you've got one you like. If something isn't working, we change it there and then. We'd rather take an extra five minutes than have you walk out unsure.
The Toronto studio is in Cabbagetown, a minute from the 505 streetcar. Sessions are by appointment, Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, and the address comes with your booking confirmation. In Los Angeles we shoot from the studio in Hollywood.
Of course. A familiar face in the room can help with nerves. If they want photos too, book them the slot right after yours and we'll go straight from one to the other.
Yes. The same three sessions run from the studio in Hollywood, and the Executive session includes coming to you anywhere in Los Angeles. Book online and pick a Hollywood slot, or read about headshots in Los Angeles first.
